Scheduled
As part of our continuous improvement plan, maintenance is scheduled on our IPXE scripts.
Start time : 09/07/2024 08:30 UTC End time : 09/07/2024 08:45 UTC Service impact : None Service improvement : As part of our continuous improvement policy about IPXE (open-source implementation of the Preboot eXecution Environment), the following API calls will be definitely removed: POST /me/ipxeScriptPUT /me/ipxeScript/{name} Customers can still use that feature by using the "bootScript" key within the PUT /dedicated/server/{serviceName} API call: see documentation for more details.
If you have never used the OVHcloud API, then you can ignore this message since this feature is not and has never been available in the OVHcloud control panel. If you don't know what iPXE script is, then you are probably not affected by this change.
In the past months, we have simplified the API call format used to boot a server from a custom iPXE script: see documentation.
If your server was still configured to boot from iPXE scripts in the old location, we have already moved the script to the new location. You don't need to reboot your server. Except if you change the boot mode in the meantime, next time the server will reboot it will be completely smooth and automatically boot from that new location.
Starting from 9th of July 2024 we are going to remove the remaining API calls of the old location under /me/ipxeScript. After this date you will no longer be able to access the scripts stored under that old location and they will definitely removed.
Thank you for your understanding.
